Comic books and anime: Here are 4 things to do in El Paso
It's always good to plan ahead. And in El Paso, it's looking good for fans of comic books and anime with new and annual events coming up this spring and later this year.
Whether it's meeting one of your favorite voice-over actors, or getting to dress up as your favorite anime character, there is an event for you! And if you are a fan of horror movies, keep reading because there is a special occasion happening, too.
Here are four events to get excited about in El Paso and Las Cruces.
El Paso Comic Con showcases 'Seinfeld' and 'Guardians of the Galaxy' actors
The annual popular El Paso Comic Con returns April 21-23 at the El Paso convention center.
Guests this year will include actors Patrick Warburton, well-known for playing Puddy on "Seinfeld," and on David Spade's "Rules of Engagement," and Michael Rooker, who often plays brutes, villains, psychopaths and Yondu in the "Guardians of the Galaxy" films; as well as World Championship Wrestler Kevin Nash appearing Saturday and Sunday.

Anime El Paso 2023 showcases 'Attack on Titan' voice actors
It will be an inaugural year for the Anime El Paso Fest taking place June 10-11 at the El Paso convention center. Stay tuned for more details on the fest that celebrates hand-drawn and computer-generated animation that originated in Japan.
Guests will include many voice-over actors including Bryce Papenbrook, who is Eren in 'Attack on Titan' and 'Attack on Titan Jr High'; Jamie Marchi, a voice actress with more than 350 characters in video games and anime; and Brittney Karbowski, a prolific voice actress best known for her roles as Wendy Marvel in Fairy Tail, Black Star in Soul Eater, and Camie Utsushimi in My Hero Academia.
