This Is the Craziest Indy 500 Crash You'll See
This is one of the craziest accidents we've ever seen at the Indy 500. It's seriously amazing that Jay Howard and Scott Dixon both walked away.
It appears that Jay Howard got into the marbles in turn one and touched that wall. That sent him down the track, just as the faster cars of Tony Kanaan and Scott Dixon came through. Kanaan made it through just fine. Dixon did not.
Dixon went low to avoid the crash, but it ended up being right in the way of Howard's car. Dixon somersaulted through the air, narrowly missing the wall and catch fence with his head, and then landed again on the pavement on the rollbar.
Somehow, he climbed out of the car and walked away. Howard did too. We're yet to hear from Dixon, but Howard feels awful about what happened and that his incident took out another car. Watch the crash below and wait until your jaw drops to the floor.

Update: Dixon has been checked, cleared, and released from the infield care center. Which is incredible.
