With 730 horsepower under the hood, the Ferrari F12berlinetta was the quickest rear-wheel-drive car in the world back when it was introduced. Then Ferrari introduced a 770-horsepower track-focused version, the F12tdf. But soon, Ferrari will introduce a replacement for the F12, and according to this crazy rumor, that car will get a whopping 800 horsepower.

This information comes from the Ferrari Chat forum where one poster claimed the F12's successor was revealed at a private event for potential customers at Ferrari's Fiorano test track.

According to the poster, the car is called the F152M or the V12 Sport, and it's powered by a naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V12 that's good for at least 800 horsepower and 718 lb-ft of torque. Max torque is said to be available at 3500 rpm, and will hit 62 mph (100 km/h) in less than three seconds. It'll also reportedly hit 124 mph in less than eight seconds. That's not slow.

The poster also had a few things to say about the design, calling the front end "very aggressive." The back end, however, "seems plain" even though the diffuser "looks like it is floating off the back," which sounds pretty neat to us.

Obviously this information is far from official, and it should be taken with a huge grain of salt. Though for what it's worth, we have heard this car will use a naturally aspirated V12.

If this info ends up being accurate, Ferrari's next super grand tourer will be an incredible performer. We'll know for sure when it debuts next month at the Geneva Motor Show.
