Yahoo Autos This Custom-Built F-250 "MegaRaptor" Is the Ultimate Ford Monster Truck
The Ford F-150 Raptor is a lot of machine. In addition to the truck's massive footprint, it has extreme off-road racing shocks, a 450-horsepower turbocharged V6, and a quick-shifting 10-speed transmission. For most people, that's enough. But for the few that want even more badass Ford in their driveway, there's another choice: The F-250 MegaRaptor.
Built by a custom shop in Arizona called F250R, the F-250 MegaRaptor is this shop's take on what the Raptor would look like mashed with Ford's bigger, heavy-duty F-250 body. Widened, heightened fenders occupy all four corners, while some truly massive 46-inch (!) tires sit in the wheel wells. The truck is still an F-250 underneath, but from the outside, it looks like a straight-up stadium super truck.
In order to get the tires to fit, F250R installs a 4-inch lift kit, as well as a set of Bilstein 5100 shocks. Heavy-duty ten-lug patterns are fitted all around to accommodate the wheels.
F250R's website says a base conversion starts at $28,000, plus the cost of a donor truck. It also states that every truck is custom made to order, meaning you can make it as badass as you desire.
