If you've been wondering how much more capable the Dodge Challenger SRT Demon is compared to its Hellcat sibling, this video should provide some solid evidence. It's a drag race between the two cars showing just how much quicker the Demon can cover the quarter-mile.

In case you need a reminder, the Demon is Dodge's street-legal factory drag car, making 808 horsepower on 93 octane fuel (840 on race gas), equipped with a wider track, better gearing, and a trans brake for getting the perfect launch. Of course, the Hellcat is no slouch-it's still packing a 707 horsepower from that supercharged V8.

According to the video's description, both cars are totally stock, and both cars are running on race-ready drag radials. (It's worth noting the Demon comes with radials from the factory, while the Hellcat does not.) It's unclear whether the Demon had its passenger seats deleted (a factory option) or if the driver used the trans brake. We also don't know if the Demon was running race gas, meaning it might have had 808 horsepower instead of the full 840.

Both cars get a good launch, with the Demon setting a time of 10.07 seconds at 133 mph, and the Hellcat laying down a respectable 11.09 seconds at 124 mph.

Is all that fuss really worth around one second at the drag strip? Demon buyers must think so.
