Turning laps at 232.595 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway is dangerous, but the real danger seems to be lurking at the Taco Bell around the corner from the track.

Last night at 9:40, pole winner Scott Dixon, three-time Indy 500 winner Dario Franchitti, and Dixon's wife Emma Davies-Dixon were at the drive through at the Taco Bell in Speedway when they were robbed at gunpoint. The thieves reportedly made off with credit cards and Davies-Dixon's wallet and ID.

Two suspects, a 14- and 15-year-old, were apprehended later in connection with the crime.

Dixon, Franchitti, and Davies-Dixon were unharmed in the incident and have thus far not addressed the robbery in public. Dixon's team owner, Chip Ganassi, issued a statement to say that the drivers were fine, and they'd allow Scott's full attention to be on preparing for Sunday's 101st Indy 500. And then Chip had a little fun with it on Twitter:

They'll likely think hard before going to a Taco Bell drive through again.
