Famous DJ and record producer DJ Khaled may have just bought a Ferrari F1 car for his kids. He recently posted a video to his Instagram account showing his two young sons playing on what he claims is a real F1 Ferrari race car.

Khaled and his wife Nicole Tuck have two sons together: Asahd, 7, and Aalam, 4. And it seems that these boys just got the gift of a lifetime. They are both dressed in Ferrari F1 shirts standing next to what appears to be a Ferrari F1 car with Charles Leclerc’s number 16 painted on it.

“My sons they got their Ferrari race car, a real F1 Ferrari race car," Khaled says in the video.

Is it a real Ferrari F1 car? Well, it is clearly not a Ferrari SF-24 that is competing in the 2024 F1 season. The car in the video is an older model, as it sports the 13-inch wheels, front clip, and other design elements that appear to be from the SF71H that competed in the 2018 F1 season.

Sebastian Vettel and Kimi Raikkonen were the Ferrari team drivers that season. Leclerc never raced in the SF71H. He replaced Raikkonen and joined Ferrari in 2019. But, of course, if you are buying a car like this, you can put any number on it that you want.

Even if this is not a fully functional Ferrari F1 car, it is still quite a flex from Khaled to have this as a plaything for his sons. Even if it doesn’t have an engine, and is a replica, it is obviously a high-quality piece of equipment that surely was expensive and difficult to obtain.

Khaled getting a car like this is not all that surprising. Even before this acquisition, he had amassed an impressive car collection. And, he is a big F1 fan. He was interviewed at the 2023 Miami GP by Martin Brundle during his grid walk before the race. So, adding an F1 car to his collection makes sense.
