Don't Stick Your Head in a Tailpipe

On Saturday, a video posted on Facebook of a woman's head stuck in the exhaust of a pickup truck went viral. Apparently, at a country music festival in Minnesota, a woman saw a pickup with a huge tail pipe, thought it was big enough to fit her head, and went ahead and stuck her head on in there.

This turned out to be a bad idea, and it took 45 minutes for firefighters to her head out of there. Here's the viral clip in question:

But it didn't need to happen in the first place. If you ever find yourself in a situation like this, you don't need to use your head as a unit of measurement. Instead, please refer to this handy list of head-sized things you could use from us, your pals who care at Road & Track.

• Football or soccer ball

• Melon (depending on the size of your head, anything from a Honeydew to a Watermelon could be appropriate)

• Mannequin head, if available

• Head of lettuce

• Two-liter bottle of soda

• Balloon

• Differential
