The Eifel Rallye Festival is Germany's largest historic rally gathering in Daun, just a two hour drive from Frankfurt. And talk about an event an event with variety!

Even better, 2018 is all about Pikes Peak, with the headliners including two of Volkswagen Motorsport's twin-engined Pikes Peak Specials from the 1980s.

The only bad news is that despite the Pikes Peak theme, this year Walter Röhrl will not participate in the Eifel Rallye Festival, due to his other commitments with Porsche. Oh snap!

Many of Röhrl's compatriots will be there, including 1984 WRC Champion Stig Blomqvist, 1985 World Champion Timo Salonen, five-time British Rally Champion Jimmy McRae, Safari Rally legend Mike Kirkland, German Rally Champion Matthias Kahle, two-time German Champion Harald Demuth, and former European Rally Champion Jochi Kleint, driving the Golf Bi-Motors.

Group B cars, Pikes Peak Specials, a Škoda 130RS entered by Škoda Germany, and all the rarities not only from Audi and Volkswagen, but also straight out of Peugeot's warehouse. And we all know that Peugeot put the wildest cards in the pack.
