Energica Releases 2017 Specs and Options

Energica, Italian manufacturer of high-performance electric motorcycles, has met Euro 4 homologation and posted specs for its 2017 models. The Ego sportbike ($34,544) is rated at 145 horsepower, while the Eva streetfighter ($34,544) puts out 108 horsepower.

The maximum power of the Ego is now listed at 107 kW (constant maximum power at 6.000 rpm), while EVA now makes 80 kW at the same rpm. Maximum torque is up for both models as well; the Ego goes from 195 to 200 Nm, the Eva from 170 to 180 Nm.

Both models are currently available through the official sales network, with prices unchanged from last year. Until June 30, the 2017 models can be purchased with the “VP - Value Promotion” formula, which allows buyer one of two options:

Trade-in value plus bonus reward of € 6.000 on the purchase of a new Energica motorcycle within 24 months from customer’s vehicle delivery date

Extended term battery warranty: the limited warranty on customer’s vehicle battery will be extended to 5 years or km 100.000 instead of the normal duration of 3 years or km 50.000

With Euro 4 homologation, the new Energica 2017 models have OBD diagnostics (On Board Diagnostics). According to European regulations, the motorcycles have standard software that will communicate with a universal diagnostics tool. With this technology, any workshop will have access to the data and can make any necessary repairs.
