EVOS Full Face Modular Helmet

Recall Issued for EVOS Full Face Modular Helmets

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has announced a recall of certain EVOS Full Face Modular Helmets because they may not adequately protect the wearer’s head in the event of an impact.

The recall affects some 94 helmets with the model number ST-818-6F-L. The helmets were manufactured between June 8, 2014, and July 10, 2014 and may be missing or have incomplete information regarding the manufacturer's name as well be missing the words "Certified" and "FMVSS No. 218."

The NHTSA says that as such, the helmets fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 218.

The NHTSA says the remedy for this recall is still under development. The manufacturer (Ontario) has not yet provided a notification schedule. Owners may contact Ontario customer service at 416.848.0673.
