Exotic Pagani Huayras Have Airbag Recalls Just Like Your Honda Accord

From Road & Track

The Pagani Huayra is just as much a hand-built piece of rolling artwork as it is a car, and it's priced accordingly. Only 100 were originally built, and they each cost well over $1 million. But such a massive price tag doesn't mean these cars were perfect. In fact, Pagani just issued a recall over something surprisingly mundane-faulty airbags.

Motor1 reports that the 32 Pagani Huayras in the U.S. have been recalled to fix airbags that may deploy improperly. Reportedly, the airbag might not stay properly attached to the steering wheel during deployment, increasing the risk of injury in a crash. Thankfully, no injuries have been reported to the automaker so far.

The repair itself isn't complicated and should only take a half hour for a technician to complete. But considering the potential danger to the driver, it seems pretty important to have taken care of.

Pagani's also far from the first exotic automaker to issue a recall for one of its models. Ferrari recalled more than 1000 458 Italias back in 2010 because of a fire risk, the Bugatti Veyron had three recalls, and even the Porsche 918 had a recall over an axle issue.

See? Exotic car owners really are just like us.
