A neglected Ferrari 512 BB, forgotten for nearly three decades, has been given a new lease on life thanks to the dedicated efforts of the WD Detailing crew. This 1980 model, which has not been driven since 1996, has undergone a remarkable transformation, bringing its classic beauty back to the forefront.

The Ferrari 512 BB, introduced in 1973, holds a special place in automotive history as the first road-going Ferrari to feature a mid-engine layout, succeeding the iconic Daytona. With only 2,323 units ever produced, and none originally sold in the US, the 512 BB is a rare and valuable find. This particular example has clocked just 19,309 miles, all before the turn of the century.

The current owner acquired this Ferrari at an auction in Georgia, alongside a Lamborghini Miura. Initially enjoyed, the car was eventually parked due to life's demands. Over the years, it fell into disrepair, accumulating dust, dirt, and a significant mouse infestation, as evidenced by a nest in its 5.0-liter flat-12 engine.

The WD Detailing team took on the challenge of restoring this Ferrari, and their efforts are documented in a captivating 37-minute YouTube video. The car's exterior, covered in grime and filth, received a thorough cleaning and polishing, revealing the original red paint's brilliant shine. Inside, the once-messy and moldy tan interior was meticulously cleaned, though it still bears some signs of age.

While the detailing process couldn't repair the damaged front fascia, the transformation is nonetheless impressive. The car, which had been a shadow of its former self, now gleams with potential. The next step involves a visit to a mechanic to address the engine and any other mechanical issues, ensuring the Ferrari is roadworthy once more.
