A legit CSX 3000 series Cobra!

Owning an authentic Shelby Cobra is a rare chance for any collector, but being the first owner of one is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. That's exactly what will be up for grabs, though, when this 1965 Shelby Cobra 427 S/C Continuation crosses the auction block.

Originally designed for competition purposes, the Cobra 427 S/C packed a NASCAR-derived Ford engine under the hood. While 100 of these cars were planned back in 1965, that didn't happen leaving more than chassis numbers unbuilt. To coincide with the Cobra's 50th anniversary in 2015, Shelby announced a continuation series of 427 S/C cars with CSX 3000 series chassis numbers.

This is one of those cars, and it is being presented with just five miles showing on the odometer. Even better, this Shelby has never been registered before, which means the winning bidder will officially become the car's first and original owner. Since these cars were planned before Carroll's death in 2012, it's still being sold with its original MSO (manufacturer's statement of origin) that was signed by Carroll Shelby before the car was even built. This Cobra 427 S/C looks amazing with its black and orange stripes over a white paint job, and that 429 cubic-inch V8 lays down an incredible 550 horsepower and 540 lb-ft of torque.
