Here’s When Fisker Ocean Deliveries Will Begin

• 2023 Fisker Ocean deliveries in the US will start the week of June 19, after some delays.

• The EV maker plans to focus on producing the limited edition Ocean One and Ocean Extreme versions early on, before turning its attention to more affordable trims.

• Fisker plans to produce 32,000 to 36,000 Ocean SUVs this year, downgrading its production outlook for the year.

Fisker is now in the final stretch when it comes to getting the Ocean SUV into the driveways of the first buyers. Months after production began in Graz, Austria, the first US production models will make their way to buyers starting the week of June 19.

The first examples of the Fisker Ocean, of course, will be the limited edition Ocean One models limited to 5000 units, which will be followed closely by the Ocean Extreme versions, wearing $68,999 price tags. The automaker plans to prioritize these two trim levels throughout 2023, with Fisker Ocean Ultra and Sport trims following.

As you may have guessed by now, all 5000 of the Ocean One models had been sold out for some time, almost a year in fact, and Fisker has also sold out of its US allotment of the more affordable Ocean Sport and Ocean Ultra trims for this year as well. After all, Fisker has to cater to nine international markets just in the first year of production, so the number of vehicles earmarked for any one country was limited.

Speaking of affordability, the price ladder kicks off with the Ocean Sport, which will go for $37,499 before destination.

"We are super excited to start getting Fisker Ocean SUVs into customer's hands," CEO Henrik Fisker said. "Our US customers have been exceptionally patient as we have moved through the regulatory process, but we are now ready to enter the next phase of the company's history."

The first customer examples have been delivered just over a month ago, with Fisker kicking things off in Copenhagen, Denmark. And earlier this month, Fisker received the EPA nod for the Ocean Extreme, achieving a 360-mile rating on standard 20-inch wheels and tires, greenlighting the start of US sales.

"The EPA values confirm that the Fisker Ocean Extreme, including the limited edition Fisker Ocean One, has the longest range of any new electric SUV under $200,000 sold in the United States today," the EV maker noted.

In all, Fisker plans to produce 32,000 to 36,000 Oceans this year—down from an initial estimate of 42,400. Most of the production will also be heavily slanted toward the second half of the year, with the automaker expecting to complete 1400 to 1700 vehicles in the second quarter, provided its "suppliers can support this volume and ramp," as the automaker noted early last month.
