Here Are the Five Things You Should Never Do in a Car With a CVT

From Road & Track

Car enthusiasts are known for their disdain of continuously variable transmissions (CVTs), but they actually rock. While it may sound and feel weird to drive a car with a CVT, they're better than any other transmission at keeping cars in their ideal power band.

They're similar in operation to a traditional torque-converter automatic, but since the CVT uses a fundamentally different design, they require a different technique. The ever-excellent Jason Fenske over at Engineering Explained goes through the five things you should never do in a car with a CVT in his latest video.
