Flooding overwhelms early morning Dallas drivers

Commuters in Dallas, TX, are having a bad Monday morning. Heavy rains caused flash flooding in the area, filling the highways and overwhelming vehicles. Unfortunately, there may be more stories like this because as many as 13 million people are under flood watches.

The Weather Channel says that almost ten inches of rain fell on Dallas overnight, the fifth highest 24-hour rainfall amount in the last 122 years. The news outlet also noted that more rain fell in 24 hours than the area’s average rainfall totals for July, August, and September, combined.
