Florida woman proposes Sugar Daddy holiday

A Boca Raton, Fla., woman who goes by the name Ashley Cream told a South Florida planning and zoning board it’s time to celebrate big spenders who spoil their lovers.

“Sugar daddies, both gay and straight — and yes, even sugar mommies — are responsible for college educations, cars, homes, rents, jets, Birkin (bags), and the occasional body enhancement,” Cream said at a meeting earlier this month, from which footage found its way to NBC 6 over the weekend.

She was accompanied by an older man who uses a wheelchair.

The flamboyant activist suggested “Sugar Daddy and Sugar Mommy Appreciation Day” be celebrated on March 10. According to Cream’s research, apparently, Florida — Miami, Palm Beach and Boca Raton in particular — leads the nation in such providers.

After telling board members they look “fabulous (but) a little bit serious” and assuring them her breasts are real, Cream thanked the board for its time, claiming “I love you all.”

One board member thanked Cream for her time, but told the self-described “concerned citizen and voter " her issues fell under the jurisdiction of the city council — not the zoning board.

Cream and her companion made their exit and the board moved on to discussing the storage of flammable liquids.

Merriam-Webster defines “sugar daddy” as “a well-to-do usually older man who supports or spends lavishly on a mistress, girlfriend, or boyfriend.”

According to Urban Dictionary, there are three categories of such benefactors. The first group, known as Splenda daddies (named for the sucralose-based sugar substitute), have limited incomes, but promise cash and gifts. The sugar daddy, by its definition, doles out a set allowance to his paramour either weekly or monthly.

The slang dictionary classifies a honey daddy — the highest tier — as a person with boundless financial means who can support multiple sugar babies.

WhatNationalDayIsIt.com said its algorithms detected National Sugar Daddy Day is most often celebrated on Oct. 3.
