The reborn Ford Bronco has been in high demand from the moment it arrived on the market back in 2020. Unfortunately, Ford appears to still be struggling to keep up with the sky-high interest in the SUV amid continued supply chain constraints. In an effort to assuage some customer frustrations, the automaker is now offering certain Bronco model customers a $2500 rebate if they opt to purchase a different Bronco or Ford model entirely.

Letters with information on the offer started to arrive to Bronco customers earlier in January, the Detroit Free Press reports. The document notes that the rebate was specifically offered to customers waiting on 2023 Bronco Wildtrak models. Ford Spokesperson Jiyan Cadiz told the outlet that this is the result of supply constraints related to the trim and its larger engine, with similar constraints also impacting the broader molded-in colored hardtop, Sasquatch package, and Lux package options. Current Bronco customers are being asked to change their orders to an Outer Bank, Big Bend or Badlands model without the aforementioned options in order to receive the rebate.

Ford will also allow customers unwilling to wait for a new build to apply that $2500 towards a new Bronco Sport, Ranger, F-150, Escape, Edge, Explorer, or Expedition. These models are currently not facing the same production constraints or waitlists as the off-road SUV.
