Yahoo Autos Ford Reveals GT '67 Le Mans Heritage Edition
Ford revealed a special edition "'67 Heritage Edition" 2018 Ford GT today to honor its 1967 24 Hours of Le Mans victory. The '67 Heritage Edition is mechanically identical to the normal Ford GT, but takes its livery from the GT40 that took overall victory 50 years ago at the famed endurance race.
Painted in a gloss-finish Race Red with white stripes, the '67 Heritage shares its color scheme with the number one MkIV GT40 driven by American drivers Dan Gurney and A.J. Foyt. In addition to the colors, the car also wears number one decals, white side stripes, and decals that say "FORD" in front of the rear wheels. The 20-inch forged aluminum wheels feature a silver satin finish and black lug nuts.
Inside, the car is equipped with red accent stitching, red seat belts, anodized gray paddle shifters, new leather seat trimming, exposed matte carbon fiber door sills, and a matte carbon fiber center console. Each '67 Heritage Edition will receive its own serialized identification plate.
Ford says "limited quantities" of the '67 Heritage Edition Ford GT will be available for the 2018 model year, which is pretty vague. Either way, if you have a GT allocation, this might be a good package box to check for investment purposes.
