Ford's Commercial Electric Van Will Be Named E-Transit, to Debut November 12

  • Ford has revealed that the name of its forthcoming electric cargo van will be E-Transit and announced a November 12 reveal date.

  • Plans for the E-Transit were first revealed back in March, when we learned that it would be offered in several configurations, including cargo van, cutaway, and chassis cab, with three roof heights and three body lengths.

  • The E-Transit is expected to go on sale in 2021 as a 2022 model.

Ford is expanding its lineup of electric vehicles with the E-Transit, a battery-electric cargo van set to be unveiled on November 12. Plans for the electric van were first announced in March 2020, but it wasn’t until now that we learned what is called and when we would see it for the first time. The E-Transit is expected to go on sale in 2021 as a 2022 model.
