Thanks to the 25 year rule, a lot of early '90s Japan-only cars have been popping up for sale recently in the U.S. Honda Beats and Skyline GT-Rs are among the most notable vehicles hitting our shores for the first time, cars that aren't sports cars that end up here from time to time too. Take for instance, this 1990 Nissan Safari Fire Truck.

Sourced from the Kamikawa City fire department in Japan, this Nissan Safari-known to the rest of the world as the Nissan Patrol-is a fully functional fire-fighting truck. It's powered by a 4.2-liter inline-six, and mated to a five-speed manual transmission. It also looks wild.

The roof-mounted siren and PA are functional, as are all the onboard water systems. The inside is pure '90s Nissan, featuring little more than a steering wheel, gear shifter, and enough seating to fit a bunch of first responders.

The fire Safari is located in Florida, up for auction right now on Bring a Trailer, with a current price of just $5100 and five hours remaining to place a bid.

We're not sure what anyone would do with this truck besides bring it to car shows, but if you've got the cash to spend, why the hell not?
