If you're as obsessed with racing games as I am, this should make you excited: Forza Horizon 4 was just announced. This time around, the game takes place in Great Britain, and it looks as fun as ever.

Like previous Forza Horizon games, players will be allowed to drive throughout an open world environment. Unlike Forza Motorsport, Horizon offers a more approachable experience, allowing you to be as serious or as playful as you want behind the wheel without having to worry about the pressure of setting the fastest lap times. It's more of an arcade-like game than a simulator.

The biggest change to the environment this time around is the changing seasons. The game cycles through summer, autumn, winter, and spring, each bringing its own set of scenery and challenges. If you love driving on ice-I know I do-this game should be right up your alley.

Forza Horizon 4 lets players join together in-game to complete races and challenges, or, if you're in the mood, just mess around and drive supercars off mountains for hours on-end. Like in every good Forza game, the selection of cars looks solid-in the reveal trailer above, we see everything from the new McLaren Senna to a Subaru WRX STI rally car to a bunch of off-road ready trophy trucks. At one point a massive hovercraft even makes an appearance.

As with previous Horizon games, car customization is a key part of it. In the E3 presentation video below, we're able to see a significantly modified Nissan Silvia, which, if you've played Forza Horizon before, you'll know is just the tip of the iceberg for customization. I know I've wasted entire nights in the tuning section getting a car just right.

The game has a 60 FPS mode optimized for use on the Xbox One X, which should make gameplay crisper than ever. According to Ralph Fulton of Playground Games, Forza Horizon 4 will be available on Xbox One and Windows 10 on October 2nd, 2018. The game will also be available for Xbox Game Pass members. We can't wait to get our hands on it.
