GA teen charged with child porn after AirDropping explicit video in school lunchroom, police say

A 17-year-old high school student has been charged with production and distribution of child pornography after an explicit video of a 15-year-old was sent out electronically in a lunchroom, Griffin police said.

All names are being withheld due to the ages of those involved and the nature of the case.

According to police, a school resource officer at Griffin High School was notified by administrators that an explicit video had been AirDropped in the lunchroom. AirDrop is an iPhone feature that allows for the distribution of files to other nearby devices.

The investigation discovered that the person in the video was a 15-year-old student, and that video was made by a 17-year-old classmate.
