While the physical concept likely won’t make any laps around Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, you’ll be able to in Gran Turismo 7. Powering this digital machine is a hybrid powertrain that leans on a V6 powerplant and a single electric motor.

Genesis doesn’t disclose the V6’s displacement but does say it’s based on the Lambda II engine platform. Genesis does say it will rev to 10,000 RPM and make 870 hp and 790 lb-ft of torque.

That engine works alongside a Yasa E electric motor, which adds 201 hp and 196 lb-ft of torque to the total output power. For those who don’t want to break out their calculators, this Genesis X Gran Berlinetta concept makes 1071 hp and 986 lb-ft of torque in Gran Turismo 7. That’s not too bad.

Most importantly, for the folks at Genesis, this wild coupe concept is unmistakably Genesis. The nose features the familiar Genesis design language. The massive crest grille with the quad headlights looks more radical than, say, a Genesis G90, but the familiar design is unmistakable.

Now, nabbing one of these in real life is probably going to be impossible. However, stuffing one of these in your Gran Turismo 7 digital airplane hangar is as easy as watching the Manufacturer’s Cup broadcast inside of the game. Players who do so will get this concept as a gift when it hits the game in the January update.
