A 28-year-old Atlanta man, 28-year-old Xavier Cordel Evans, was apprehended for the audacious heist of five heavy-duty Ford trucks, collectively valued at $400,000, from Akins Ford in Winder, Georgia. On February 12, dealership staff discovered the absence of the late-model trucks, sparking a detailed police investigation. The last vehicle was reported missing around 7 a.m. on the day of the discovery.

Collaboration between Winder Police, the Atlanta Police Department, and the Georgia State Patrol led to the suspect's arrest on February 15 during a strategic traffic stop. The individual, now facing five felony counts of motor vehicle theft, is alleged to be part of a sophisticated criminal network specializing in the theft of high-demand, new, expensive vehicles. This operation required significant technical acumen to navigate the trucks' advanced security and electronic ignition systems, highlighting a new level of criminal expertise in auto theft.
