Quite a few people have a soft spot for the Ferrari Testarossa, a car which some Maranello faithful for the longest time contended was barely worth wearing the Prancing Horse. While not everyone is on board with these now-classics, the benefit is prices aren’t through the roof, yet. That’s why you might have a decent shot at scooping this white 1986 Ferrari Testarossa which is auctioning online right now.

A restored Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa will be auctioning soon.

Sure, some think all Ferraris have to be draped in luscious red, but we admit this car looks great in the factory Bianco. While cosmetically it doesn’t appear to be perfect, we’d say it’s in good condition, particularly for its age. However, we caution anyone bidding on a car they haven’t seen in person to study all the photos closely, in particular the close-up shots and any of the chassis.

We’re having trouble finding any major blemishes. Sure, there are some dull areas and scuffs here and there, but the leather upholstery, carpeting, paint, plastic surfaces, etc. all look pretty crisp. The owner is even throwing in two lip spoilers and a set of 415 mm Cromodora five-spoke alloy wheels.

With just 46,000 miles showing on the odometer, this Ferrari Testarossa has likely been treated with care. That hopefully means the 4.9-liter flat-12 engine won’t give you many fits. While not producing monstrous power figures like Ferraris in this modern age, that’s more than enough to give you some thrills.

Plus, this car has something you won’t find in any new Ferrari: a five-speed manual transmission. There’s a sense of purity in a car where you have to row through the gears and the steering wheel is tiny, thanks to no embedded airbag. You don’t even have to endure any electronics chiding you for whatever error you might commit on the road.

It’s the simplicity and beauty of this machine, combined with a more accessible price, which makes it alluring to some. Currently, the top bid on its Bring A Trailer listing sits at just under $82,000. We’re sure it will increase, but this Testarossa could still be a great deal for the right person.
