This week, we dial the tinsel-wrapped time machine to 1984, to revel in one of the more beautiful and festive rounds in rallying history. While Rallye Monte Carlo usually runs in late January (long after the boozenog-soaked holiday season is but a hangover in the rearview mirror), and its stages are no strangers to the white stuff, the '84 edition witnessed an almighty blanket of powder leading into the race.
