Guy Runs From A Georgia Trooper In Rush Hour Atlanta Traffic

Nobody likes driving in heavy rush hour traffic, especially in a city like Atlanta. While most of us just sit in the slow-moving line cursing everyone else, a Georgia trooper saw one man who decided to do the dirty thing, driving on the right shoulder to skip the line on an on-ramp. Unsurprisingly, the driver didn’t pull over for the trooper because he had a felony warrant for his arrest.
Dodge Challenger playing animal sounds is terrorizing people in New York City.
The thing about running from the law when traffic isn’t moving quickly is you have to deal with a lot of obstacles, upping the dangerous elements of the chase. Upping the risks even further, this guy is fleeing in a Chevy Equinox of all things. We don’t recommend using such a grocery getter to lead police on a high-speed pursuit.
Our suspect starts off slow, acting like he’s pulling over for the trooper. But like so many of these guys who think they’re just so sneaky, he slowly speeds up until eventually he’s pushing the little gerbil-powered engine in the Equinox to maximum output.
While this is going on you can hear the trooper vocalizing his wishes that the guy wouldn’t run. After all, they’re in rush hour traffic in Atlanta. Those conditions are super dangerous and thus stressful for any cop pursuing someone.
With such heavy traffic on the highway, the suspect takes an off-ramp and decides to try his luck on surface streets for a bit. That does help since he can blast through red lights, giving the Equinox a fighting chance of outrunning the Georgia State Patrol cruiser, at least for a bit.
But the guy gets back on the highway and somehow threads the needle through the heavy traffic. It was a dumb plan because at higher speeds he’s outgunned by the Dodge Charger, but nobody has accused most criminals or being particularly bright.
The real mistake comes when our suspect decides he needs to get back off the highway and wrecks in a sweeping turn on the off-ramp, making him a sitting duck for GSP. Grocery getters don’t in fact handle all that well, thus making horrible getaway cars.
