The BMW M3 GTR is a magical car. Powered by a V8 with a flat-plane crank, the GTR skirted the rules to create a truly magnificent race car. It only raced in America in 2001 before it was banned, but the GTR became a fixture in Europe, particularly at the Nurburgring 24, winning the race multiple times.
What BMW created was a masterpiece, a car that was instantly one of the all-time greats thanks to its way-too flared fenders and the insane sound that came from the 4.0 liter V8.
