Harley-Davidson Adds New Board Members

Harley-Davidson has announced the appointment of Troy Alstead and Allan Golston to the company's board of directors. Alstead is retired from Starbucks Corporation where he most recently served as chief operating officer, and Golston is the president of the U.S. Program for the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.

"We are delighted to have two new talented professionals join our board," said Michael Cave, non-executive chairman of the board of Harley-Davidson. "Troy and Alan bring valuable skills and have important perspectives as leaders in their fields that will be assets to the company." Alstead is founder of Harbor O5 and the Ocean5 Foundation. He is also on the board of directors of Levi Strauss Co. and TopGolf.

Allan Golston previously served as chief financial officer and chief administrative officer for the Gates Foundation. He is a certified public accountant and has held positions with Swedish Health Services in Seattle and the University of Colorado Hospital. Golston is a member of the board of directors of Stryker Corporation.
