Hearing tornado sirens? Don't panic: Kentucky planning statewide tornado drill Wednesday morning

If you hear weather sirens and alarms in Kentucky just after 10 a.m. today, don't be alarmed: It's a drill.

Kentucky is participating in a statewide tornado drill at 10:07 a.m. Wednesday, where the sirens will be activated and will last around three minutes.

Ash Wednesday: Wearing ashes marks the beginning of Lent

The drill is in conjunction with the National Weather Service, Kentucky Emergency Management, the Kentucky Weather Preparedness Committee and Kentucky Broadcasters Association.

The National Weather Services advises Kentuckians to treat the drill as if it were a real tornado warning, and to take the following steps:
