In an exhilarating showdown, the 1,012-HP Hennessey Mammoth TRX goes head-to-head with the 1,000-HP Charger Jailbreak, revealing a clear victor in brute force and agility.

In a thrilling encounter of American automotive muscle, British presenters Mat Watson and Sam from carwow took to the US to pit two of Hennessey's most formidable creations against each other. The stage was set for an epic battle between the Mammoth TRX, a Ram 1500 TRX adaptation boasting 1,012 horsepower, and the Charger Jailbreak H1000, a Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Widebody Jailbreak pushing 1,000 horsepower.

Despite looming production changes for both models, with the Charger's sedan form ceasing in December 2023 and the Ram 1500 TRX transitioning away from the iconic 6.2-liter supercharged Hemi V8 in the 2024 model year, the focus remained on the raw power and performance at hand.

The Mammoth TRX, with its all-wheel drive and significant heft, squared off against the lighter, rear-wheel-drive Charger Jailbreak. Anticipation was high as Mat and Sam launched their respective beasts, but the Mammoth TRX consistently dominated the Charger Jailbreak, launching with astonishing speed and maintaining a significant lead in consecutive drag races.

In a twist of fate, the Charger Jailbreak claimed victory in a standard roll race by leveraging its massive power more effectively without the constraint of all-wheel drive. Yet, when attempting a mixed strategy race with the Charger drifting and the TRX starting from a standstill, the Mammoth once again showcased its superiority.

The final test of braking from 70 mph saw the Charger Jailbreak narrowly besting the Mammoth TRX, a testament to Hennessey's commitment to all-around performance tuning. This face-off not only highlighted the prowess of Hennessey's modifications but also celebrated the spirit of American muscle cars, proving that even among titans, there can be clear distinctions in performance.
