Mini released a handful of images of its upcoming 2025 Mini Cooper 2-Door Hardtop on Tuesday, giving us our first look at the next generation of the legendary British hatchback.

The BMW Group-owned company did not share any additional information on the new Mini Cooper, saying it only released these images in response to a collection of spy shots that circulated the web last week showing the car fully undisguised.

There are a number of significant design changes to differentiate this new Mini from the outgoing model. From what we can tell, the version you see here is all-electric, as it doesn't have a hood scoop or an exhaust pipe. The fascia is new, and the plastic fender flares—a signature feature on past Mini models—have been deleted in favor of a cleaner look.

Out back you'll find triangular taillights that, like past models, incorporate parts of the Union Jack flag into their design. There's also a strip that goes across the hatch displaying the model name.

Despite the changes, this new Cooper Hardtop is still very much identifiable as a Mini. The classic round headlights, short wheelbase, contrast-color roof, and general proportions are all great signs the company is sticking to its retro roots.

There's no word on when Mini plans to reveal specifications, performance numbers, or interior photos, but seeing as how this car looks production-ready, we don't expect to wait long.
