Here's the Next Toyota Supra Testing at the Nurburgring
Earlier this week, we brought you videos of Toyota's long-awaited Supra successor testing somewhere in Germany. Those videos were cool, but a little light on action, only featuring a little bit of track driving. Now though, we've got footage of this new sports car testing on the Nürburgring.
While we don't know definitively that this rear-drive coupe will be called the Supra, and that it'll share a platform with the upcoming BMW Z5. We also know that both the Toyota and BMW will hit production in 2018, with both being built by Austrian manufacturing firm Magna Steyr.
A recent rumor pointed towards the Toyota utilizing some sort of all-wheel-drive hybrid drivetrain, but that's far from confirmed. Based on the video, the car testing here sounds like it's using some sort of six-cylinder engine, but it's oddly quiet. Hopefully the production version will make a bit more noise.
We'd also like to see Toyota strip some of the camouflage off, but that won't happen anytime soon.
