Yahoo Autos The Honda Accord Gets a Slight Price Hike for 2019
The Honda Accord wasn't broke, so Honda isn't fixing it for 2019. The mid-size sedan is mostly unchanged for the new model year, other than its small price uptick and a slight rejiggering of the trim levels.
The 2019 Accord lineup still includes LX, Sport, EX, EX-L, and Touring trim levels, with the LX coming standard with a 192-hp turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine and the Sport, EX, and EX-L models offering either that 1.5-liter engine or an optional 252-hp turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder. Thankfully, the desirable six-speed manual transmission available for the Sport 1.5T and 2.0T models is still on the order sheet, while a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT) is otherwise standard across the range. Last year's 1.5-liter Touring model is discontinued, meaning that this top-trim version comes only with the upgrade 2.0T. The Accord hybrid continues to offer base, EX, and Touring trims.
The price for the Sport model goes up by $400 compared to last year and now starts at $27,075, while the other trim levels each get a $150 bump to $24,615 for the LX, $28,515 for the EX, $31,015 for the EX-L, and $36,845 for the Touring (technically, the Touring model is $2150 more expensive than before, but that's an apples-to-oranges comparison given the newly standard 2.0T for that trim). The 2019 Accord hybrid is also a bit more expensive than before, now starting at $26,215, a $220 rise. The hybrid's EX and Touring trims rise by $330 and $280.
It probably goes without saying, given how many 10Best Cars awards we've handed out to Honda's mid-size sedan, that we're big fans of the Accord. This 10th-generation model, which debuted for 2018, is arguably the best Accord yet; if you're interested in picking up one for yourself, the 2019 models start arriving at dealerships on November 1.
