It's not often you run into a herd of wild horses in the desert. It's even less often you happen to have an Icon Bronco and a film crew on hand to capture the moment you meet. That's exactly what happened to Jonathan Ward while filming this promotional video for his company, Icon 4x4.

If you're unfamiliar with Icon 4x4, here's a quick rundown. It's a shop in LA that takes rust-free Land Cruiser and Bronco donor vehicles (and various other vintage machines) and transforms them into immensely capable vehicles with modern power, tech, and off-road equipment. We've covered Icon's creations extensively, and Ward, its founder, has even contributed to Road & Track.

Icon's latest creation is a Bronco Derelict based on an ultra-rare Bronco Roadster. The Roadster, built for just a single model year, came from the factory with no doors and no roof. It's one of the most desirable Broncos out there, and easily Ward's coolest build to date. Powered by a 5.0-liter Mustang V8, it seems right at home next to this group of wild steeds.

Watch for yourself as Ward flings his creation around the desert.
