Indian Picks Pirelli Night Dragon as OEM Tire for Scout

In the tire business, being chosen as the original equipment rubber for a popular motorcycle is a huge deal. First, because if the customer likes the performance, he or she is likely to replace those tires with the same brand when they wear out. Second, if most customers are disappointed in the behavior of the OEM rubber, they will choose another replacement brand. Which will lead to the original manufacturer to get back to work on designing and building a better tire. Competitive capitalism at its best.

Pirelli just announced that its Night Dragon tire are going to be original equipment on the 2018 Indian Scout motorcycle. With its worldwide popularity among the Custom Cruiser and V-Twin segments, the Pirelli Night Dragon will serve as the tire of choice on both front and rear for Indian’s latest model.
