If you want practicality, buy a minivan. The McLaren 570 is the minimal envelope that can be shrink-wrapped around two people, an engine, and four tires; daily utility is a very low priority.

What's New for 2018?

McLaren adds five new Design Edition option packages for the 570GT, which include certain exterior and interior combinations that otherwise cost more money if individually selected. The newly available pairings are: Silica White exterior paint with Saddle Tan and Carbon Black interior materials, Pacific Blue with Jet Black and Areia cream, Blade Silver with Natural Tan and Carbon Black, Fire Black with Jet Black and Areia, and Storm Grey with Jet Black and Almond White.

Blind Spots, Visibility, and Obscured Roadway

Roof pillars protect occupants in a rollover crash, but they also create blind spots. We determine visibility by measuring the location and width of each pillar using an H-Point Machine and a laser beam (surrogates for a driver and eyeball, respectively). Front and rear visibility are calculated by subtracting the viewable area blocked by the pillars from a perfect 180-degree score.

Other than these new options, the cabin of the 2018 570S and 570GT are the same as the 2017 models. For more information on the interior, you can read our in-depth review.
