The skinny: The Icemen were scheduled to complete a three-game series in Norfolk, attempting to extend their stay atop the leaguewide ECHL standings, but league health and safety protocols amid COVID-19 prompted the game's postponement. ... Jacksonville goaltender Charles Williams ranks fifth in the league with a 2.11 goals-against average. ... Icemen forward Ben Hawerchuk never seems to be far from the action — in addition to his 16 points, second-most among players on the active roster, the 23-year-old also stands fifth in the ECHL with 80 penalty minutes. ... Former Icemen goaltender Austin Lotz made his Norfolk season debut on Wednesday against Jacksonville.
