Jay Leno and Christian von Koenigsegg Take a Wild Ride in a 1360-hp One:1

From Road & Track

As you can tell by the name, the Koenigsegg One:1 was built for a single purpose-to make one horsepower for every kilogram of weight. And thanks to an abundance of lightweight materials and an engine that makes 1360 horsepower, Koenigesegg achieved that goal.

There's a lot more to the One:1 than its power-to-weight ratio, though. Founder Christian von Koenigsegg and Jay Leno recently strapped into a One:1 to go for a drive and chat about the car. And while it's obviously insanely quick, he points out quite a few other features that make the One:1 special, too.

Since Koenigsegg makes every part except the tires in Sweden, for example, it takes 5000 man hours to build a One:1. Even the brake calipers and carbon fiber wheels are made in-house. And the trick doors? They're made of a single piece of carbon fiber, inside and out, and move on hydraulic dampers.
