Yahoo Autos Jerry Seinfeld's Lotus Exige Is Up for Sale
Jerry Seinfeld is a well-known Porsche collector, but his automotive interests stretch beyond the famous German automaker. He's owned at least one Lotus, specifically a 2009 Exige S 260 painted Kawasaki Green. It's headed to a Dan Kruse Classics auction over Memorial Day weekend held in Midland, Texas if this little Lotus is up your alley.
This particular Lotus is equipped with a Toyota-sourced 1.8-liter supercharged four-cylinder that makes around 260 hp, hence the name S 260. In the great Lotus tradition, the S 260 was treated to a number of weight-reduction measures, including various bits of carbon fiber and a lightweight battery. In total, the Exige S 260 weighs around 2000 lbs–even filled with fluids.
Apparently, this bright green paintwork was a $5000 upgrade, and it's the only Exige wearing this color. The car is barely broken in too, with just under 4000 miles on the odometer.
Dan Kruse Classics doesn't provide an estimated sale price for this car, but the Exige S 260 started at around $75,000 new. One thing is almost certain, though–it'll be cheaper than the ultra-rare Porsches Seinfeld sold last year.
