Joe Elmore, the beloved host of "Horsepower TV" and "Musclecar," passed away on Monday at the age of 80. Elmore’s career in journalism and entertainment spanned several decades, during which he became a cherished figure in the automotive community. His journey began with a Bachelor of Science degree in journalism from Arkansas State University, followed by a Master of Arts degree in broadcasting and film from the University of Memphis.

Elmore's influence extended beyond the automotive world. He played a pivotal role in launching Tennessee Crossroads on Nashville Public Television 37 years ago and had been hosting the show since its inception. However, it was his work with Powernation's shows on TNN and Spike, starting in the late 1990s and continuing into the 2010s, that cemented his legacy among car enthusiasts.
