From Road & Track

Although McLaren employs several development drivers, we've been wondering who could take the helm at the test tracks ever since Chris Goodwin left for Aston Martin last December. Now, McLaren has decided that the best man for the job was Mr. Bräck:

Of course Kenny Bräck is equally fast with modern McLarens. The former IndyCar Champion and Indianapolis 500 winner worked with Lanzante Motorsport to turn the P1 GTR into the Nürburgring-slayer P1 LM, which also seemed to be a handful up the hill at Goodwood.

But while tweaking McLarens with Lanzante, Bräck also took part in the development of the 720S, our most recent PCOTY winner, and the McLaren Senna, which is probably the wildest road car we have even driven.

McLaren new Chief Test Driver had this to add:

"It is a great gift to be able to work with your passion and break new boundaries, and to have the opportunity to work with the highly skilled and determined team at McLaren Automotive is just fantastic. I am driven by a desire to win, to achieve results; for me, the key dynamic traits needed to explore my own limits and those of a vehicle on a race track are predictability and consistency. These elements are also fundamental for a road car to be both safe and satisfying and as a result you’ll find them integral to the McLaren 720S and the McLaren Senna.”
