Kid Rock (real name Robert James Ritchie) sure knows how to entertain a crowd. His latest stunt involved him entering the arena for his first-ever Kid Rock’s Rock N Rodeo in Dallas over the weekend riding in the bed of a Tesla Cybertruck made to look like the General Lee from The Dukes of Hazzard.

Cybertruck owner can’t believe how many people hate his truck.

After that stunt hit the internet thanks to a TikTok video, we’re pretty sure some people are so triggered they suffered a seizure or two. After all, Elon Musk and in turn Tesla have become dogs among certain circles.

And the hatred for the Cybertruck is real. We don’t find it to be a particularly attractive vehicle, but it’s fine if someone wants to own and enjoy one. It’s a free country.

Then there’s the “troubled history” of the Duke Boys’ Dodge Charger, one of the most iconic TV cars of all time. With Kid Rock himself quite outspoken on many social and political issues, the combination is just too much for some.

Kid Rock knows exactly what he’s doing.

The audience ate up the dramatic entrance. How many times do you see a musician show up for a performance that way? It’s creative and fun, so hats off to the man.

Apparently, the driver of that Cybertruck was none other than John Schneider, who played Bo Duke in The Dukes of Hazzard back in the day. And riding shotgun was singer/rapper Jelly Roll who performed alongside Kid Rock.

Tesla has been prioritizing getting Cybertrucks to celebrities instead of pouring money into advertising. It’s an interesting move which could impact certain other vehicle rollouts in the future, depending on how well the strategy works.

We’ve seen some celebrities just taking their Cybertruck to run errands, the paparazzi taking photos of them, and that does get the angular trucks in front of people’s eyes. But Kid Rock has punched things up to the next level and then some.
