One of the best things that can happen to a kid is getting a package in the mail. One of the worst, apparently, is discovering that yet another package from Amazon is for their parents.

R&T Crew is for the kids. Six times a year, our friends over at Road & Track send out a box of car-themed goodies(up $60 worth of stuff in each), and when the most recent box showed up, my kids were pumped.

The first item to greet them was crinkly paper in turquoise. Good start. Crinkly paper is always a hit. The first thing we pulled out was a crazy looking Hot Wheels collectible car that has a little wrench on the front of it! My two-year-old was off and running with that and I haven’t seen it (or even stepped on it) since.

Next came the bright R&T Crew trading cards. My six-year-old collects Pokemon and animal cards. She was thrilled to find out she can learn about cars the same way. The huge color-in poster of a flying car is awesome; we've made that an art project between Zoom classes.

The Crew Code Cracker and invisible ink pen made for great after-school and we continue to write each other secret messages. The R&T Crew bandana was a perfect accessory for my fashionista daughter, and she threw that and her sunglasses on as she went on reading her R&T Crew magazine. I wondered about the sunglasses. Because I work with and spend an inordinate amount of time talking about cars on a daily basis, she was happy to have a resource to help her learn about cars. I enjoy that, too.

R&T Crew has helped give the kids something new to do. It's also helped us as parents, because we haven't had to come up with something new for them to do. They're already looking forward to the next box.
