Koenigsegg announced today it has ended production of the Agera supercar. During its three-year run, the company produced 25 examples, setting five world speed records in the process, including fastest production car, at an average of 277.9 mph.

According to Koenigsegg, the last Agera off the line was an RS, a replacement car for an Agera that was crashed during testing. The company says a test car was also built, but doesn't specify whether this car is included in the 25-car production count. Now that production of the Agera has been completed, that car has been sold to an unnamed collector.

Production at Koenigsegg's factory in Ängelholm, Sweden will now shift entirely to the Regera, a 1500-horsepower hybrid with no transmission capable of doing burnouts at 186 mph. A handful of Regeras have already left the factory, but now that the production line has freed up, chances are we'll start seeing a whole lot more on the road soon.
