From Road & Track

Right before Lamborghini went all angular with the Aventador, it gave us a teaser for the future of its design language: the Reventón. It was an ultra-limited mid-engine V12 supercar with looks akin to a jet fighter and a price tag to match. Only 20 were ever built, and the last one off the production line is now up for sale.

Welcome to You Must Buy, our daily look at the cars you really should be buying instead of that boring commuter sedan.

Reventón #20 recently popped up for sale on DuPont Registry via Marshall Goldman Motor Sales of Warrensville Heights, Ohio. Like every other Reventón, it's finished in a stealthy matt grey paint, and looks outrageous.

Though the Reventón previewed many of the design features that would later be seen on the Aventador, it's actually based on the earlier Murcielago. Behind the driver sits a 6.5-liter V12, connected to the road via a single-clutch E-Gear automatic transmission.

The coolest part of the Reventón isn't its looks or its powertrain, however. It's the gauge cluster. It looks right out of a fighter jet.

Marshall Goldman Motor Sales currently lists the car with an asking price of $1,685,900 - nearly $200,000 more than original MSRP. Considering this car's rarity (and cool-factor), we wouldn't be surprised if it sells quickly.
