Last-Lap Porsche Scramble Defines Real Racing

Before the 24-hour race could begin at Le Mans, 61 identical Porsche GT3 Cup race cars hit the Circuit de la Sarthe to show us what's it like when everybody has to work from the same toolbox. Coming from various Porsche Carrera Cup championships, these cars all pack 3.8-liter engines tuned to deliver 460 horsepower, leaving it up to the drivers and their crews to get the most out of their huge wings and suspension setup.

In the final lap of the Le Mans round, four drivers - Dan Cammish, Ayhancan Güven, Alessio Rovera and Dino Zamparelli - all went for it after the race leader hit what appeared to be a bit of oil.

Cammish's momentary traction issue gave all three behind him a last minute chance to shine, and they made sure not to hold anything back. Circuit de la Sarthe is 8.469 miles long, but during this lap, it must have felt even longer:
