There's finally a 911 GT3 that just about anybody can afford, breaking the long tradition of unattainable prices for the top-spec rear-engine sports car. But think twice before you get behind the steering wheel: According to the latest crash test results out of Germany, the Lego Porsche 911 GT3 absolutely shatters on impact.

The Allgemeiner Deutscher Automobil-Club (ADAC), Germany's equivalent to the AAA, brings us the harrowing results of this standard front-offset crash test. The 1:8 scale Lego kit, comprised of 2700 pieces at a cost of $300, simply isn't built to withstand even a relatively low-speed impact. Watch for yourself:

It's a good thing no human being can fit in the driver's seat of this death trap.

Now, we should note that, as pointed out by Davey G. Johnson of Car and Driver, while this crash test took place at a relatively slow 28 mph, that equates to a scale speed of 224 mph for the tiny Lego sports car - far beyond the full-scale vehicle's 200 mph top speed.

Lego advertises this kit as being for ages 16 and up. We implore you not to let any 16 year old drive such a dangerous vehicle. Thankfully, with no actual engine or driveline, that won't be a difficult rule to enforce.
